Here's a new piece of concept art that I created last month following some really inspirational meetings with some incredible photographers and retouchers this spring. The idea was to use a very simple set of fabric - about $40 worth of fabric from a craft store - and create a flowing dress by compositing multiple photos in post. What you see is the result of about 4 hours of shooting and the composite is build of 17 layers, masked and blended to make the lighting and shadows feel seamless and correct. Top image is the final, and below that a series showing individual images as we went through the shoot.
